Audit and Plan.

In this confidential process, we get to know your business, what you do, how you do it and your aspirations.

  • We look at all data available for your current website. Data that you can provide or we can glean from other sources.
  • We ask you what commercial results you have recorded from your site and any feedback from customers or suppliers. This data must be recorded, not anecdotal; our process deals with actual numbers.
  • We look at your competitors and what they are doing with their digital marketing and where we can assess their success.
  • We identify your target market, the people you want to reach, what they like, and how they buy. We will research what keywords are primarily used in your industry to find the products and services you sell.
  • We discuss how much time and involvement you will want in content for the site and running the site after launch and what resources you have to add to that process.
  • We discuss your expectations and issues you are currently having that you want to change.

Fundamentally, this process teases out where you are now, where you want to be, and how we plan to help you get there.

From this audit process, we write a report with our recommendations for you, which forms the basis for our proposal for a new website.

This Audit report is a stand-alone product and yours to keep whether or not you commission us to build your new website. The cost of the report is $725 plus GST. If you commission us to build your new website within three months, we credit this against the website build cost.

Your Website Build.

Your website must reflect your culture and professionalism and demonstrate your expertise and capacity to deliver the best solutions or products. It must make it easy to buy from you. However the number one priority is it must build trust.

Website Design.

The look and feel of your site, can be split into four areas that we need to address:

  • User interface, or UI, is the most overlooked area of website design. The UI determines how easy and intuitive your site is to use. We have all come across sites that are a breeze to use and, conversely, sites that are a nightmare. We don’t stay on the latter for long!
  • The design of your site: The layout of the pages, colours and typography all need to be spot on. In designing your site, we often start with mobile first.
  • Mobile first: ¬†Your new site will be a “responsive” site, which means that it is one site that displays well across desktop computers, tablets and smartphones. More than 50% of your viewers will view your website on their mobile phones. With screen real estate being very limited on a mobile phone, we need to prioritise your most critical messaging right up front; people won’t scroll forever to find the bits that interest them.
  • Site load speed. This brings us to the importance of site load speed, which is very much in the website design area. A heavy design will load slowly, which, as we all know, is a turnoff for everyone and is disliked by Google when considering how to rank your site.

Content.

The words, graphics, photographs and videos. All have an essential role to play on your site. If appropriate, we will reuse or repurpose material from your existing website.

  • Copywriting. Writing about our own business is always tricky; we are too close to it. We know our products and services in too much detail to write about them from a customer perspective. Employing one of our copywriters to repurpose and simplify your words or perhaps write from scratch is often the best way to achieve professional sales copy. It also reduces your stress level considerably.
  • Graphics come with the design territory and must communicate a clear message and fit in with the look and feel of your site.
  • Photography is a critical component, the quality of the photographs reflects the quality of your products and service. We provide professional photographic services in-house, and our image editors will find the appropriate stock images if needed.
  • Video is one of the most overlooked tools on any website; videos build relationships, loyalty and trust. In other words, videos are great at reassuring people and removing barriers to sales. We have our own in-house video production company, Nimble Films.
  • Creating the pages of your website to make them interesting, informative and relevant is vital. Most pages should be based on one of the researched keywords. Pages should be readable and have a synopsis of the information on the page at the top with more detail below.
  • Calls to action are one of the most critical parts of your website; they are the system we will use to move people from your website into your sales funnel.

The Geeky and very important work.

The extra mile if you like.

  • The Techy bits behind the scenes. Making sure that all is working immaculately behind under the bonnet. Integrating the site with the server infrastructure. Adding software to monitor the site and visitor analysis and cleaning up the debris of site development, this is a little like having a tidy desk! There I told you it was all geek stuff!
  • Pre-launch testing is where your team gets involved. We share the site with as many members of your team as possible and ask them to find the errors, faults and to try and break the site! Better now than later.
  • Then we go live and relax. No, no such luck; now the work begins.

After Launch Services.

Search Engine Optimisation.

Search engine optimization (SEO) is optimizing a website or online content to improve its visibility and ranking on search engines like Google, Bing, and Yahoo. SEO aims to increase the quantity and quality of organic (unpaid) traffic to a website through search engine results pages (SERPs).

SEO involves:

  • Building a website recognised by search engines as being the most authoritative in its particular subject or niche.
  • Keyword research and optimization.
  • Content creation to improve a website’s relevance and authority in the eyes of search engines.
  • Link building.

By making a website more visible and attractive to search engines, SEO can help increase the likelihood that users will find and visit the site, leading to increased traffic, engagement, and conversions.

Keyword research is discovering and analysing the search terms and phrases people use to find information about your topic or niche on search engines like Google, Bing, and Yahoo.

The goal of keyword research is to identify the most relevant and valuable keywords for your website to optimise search engine rankings and attract targeted traffic.

Keyword Research.

Keyword research involves identifying the most common and relevant search terms and phrases that people will use to find content related to your particular topic or niche.

Once we identify relevant keywords, they are incorporated into website content to improve the site’s relevance and ranking for those keywords. By optimising for relevant keywords, your websites will attract targeted traffic, which increase engagement, and drive conversions and revenue.

Content Planning.

Content planning takes the pressure off constantly coming up with ideas for fresh content. Most niches or industries go through annual cycles that give us ideas for relevant and new content; even updating old content is good. Continually adding fresh content to a website is essential for several reasons:

  1. Improved search engine rankings: Search engines like Google prioritize fresh and relevant content when determining search engine rankings. By regularly adding new content, websites can increase their visibility in search results and attract more organic traffic.
  2. Increased user engagement: Visitors are more likely to return to a website that regularly publishes fresh and engaging content. Continually adding new content keeps users interested and engaged, leading to longer visit times, more pageviews, and a lower bounce rate.
  3. Demonstrating authority and expertise: By publishing new and informative content on a regular basis, websites can establish themselves as a trusted source of information within their niche. This can help build brand authority and increase user trust.
  4. Keeping up with trends and changes: Many industries are constantly evolving, and it is important for websites to stay up-to-date with the latest news and trends. Regularly publishing fresh content can help a website stay relevant and ensure that users are receiving the most up-to-date information.

Continually adding fresh content to a website is a crucial component of successful online marketing.
